GHSA Report Shows States Cracking Down on Distracted Driving
The Governors Highway Safety Association published a report that showcases "the first comprehensive look at state activities and programs to address the growing problem of distracted driving." The report describes how combating distracted driving has become a primary concern nationwide and how states are using a multitude of methods. The survey's findings concluded that states are improving their data collection efforts, creating more driving education programs, instituting stronger distracted driving laws, collaborating with public and private agencies and utilizing new media like Facebook and Twitter to broadcast their messages.
